The SP5L is the long-barrel configuration of the SP5 family — the semi-automatic descendant of the MP5, with added barrel length.
The extra length gives a longer sight radius and slightly more velocity than the standard SP5. At the other end of the family, the SP5K-PDW is the compact.
Parts fitment matters here. Receiver caps, rear sight drums and some furniture are not interchangeable across SP5, SP5K and SP5L. Ordering by “SP5” alone is the most common way people end up with parts that do not fit. Check the variant before you buy.
