A leather pancake holster that rides outside the waistband, high and tight against the body. The two-slot design pulls the grip inward, which is what makes a pancake conceal better under a cover garment than most OWB rigs.
Faster to draw from than any inside-the-waistband holster, and far more comfortable over a long day. Under an untucked flannel or a jacket it disappears; under a fitted t-shirt it will not.
Who it suits: range days, open carry where legal, and cooler months when you are wearing a layer anyway. Also the easiest rig to live with if IWB carry has never agreed with you.
Worth knowing: leather needs breaking in. Expect a week or two of stiffness. Bag the unloaded pistol, seat it overnight, and repeat until the draw smooths out. Never wet-form it with the pistol inside. Also available left handed.
