The HK45 is the full-size .45 ACP in the HK45 family, developed as a ground-up improvement on the USP45 rather than a revision of it.
The differences that matter day to day: a more rounded grip with interchangeable backstraps instead of the USP’s wider fixed frame, a true 1913 Picatinny rail rather than the HK proprietary rail, and an ambidextrous slide release. It also uses a single flat recoil spring where the USP runs a double coil system.
