The Mark 23 is a .45 ACP pistol originally developed for US special operations, and it remains one of the most distinctive handguns HK has produced.
It is a genuinely large pistol — that is the defining characteristic, not a footnote. The size is a consequence of the original requirement, which prioritised durability, accuracy and suppressor use over concealability. Nobody carries a Mark 23 discreetly.
