That is the entire point: retention level is not a quality rating, it is a threat-model decision. Open carry exposes you to a weapon-retention problem that concealed carry simply does not have.

Who it suits: uniformed roles, security work, and anyone carrying openly in a professional setting.
Worth knowing, and we mean this: if you carry concealed, you almost certainly should not buy this. The added complexity costs you draw speed and buys you nothing, because concealment already provides the security. And if you do buy it, dry-practise the release sequence until it is automatic before you carry it on duty — a Level III rig you cannot clear under stress is worse than a Level I you can.
